Located in the Northern part of the city of Brazzaville, the mission run by the Sisters of Notre Dame du Rosary currently provides a safe and loving home for 50 orphaned children, as well as programs for the handicapped and paralytics
Without the help of volunteers from the local and international communities and the sisters, the 24/7, 365 day a year care for the babies and children would be an impossibility.
Changing diapers the old-fashioned way
Laundry, especially diapers for the babies, is a never-ending chore. Disposables are too costly, so the old-fashioned cloth diapers are standard. Because of the tropical climate, each diaper must be ironed to prevent insects from lodging in them.
